Isabella Vitale si forma inizialmente a Parigi frequentando l’Académie des Beaux Arts e la Sorbonne. Tornata a Roma si laurea in pittura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti con una tesi sulla stratificazione pittorica, successivamente si iscrive alla Facoltà di Storia dell’Arte presso l’Università la Sapienza di Roma dove ottiene la laurea specialistica con una tesi sui luoghi della produzione artistica contemporanea a Roma.
La sua duplice formazione artistica, prima pratica, poi teorica, rispecchia esattamente l’identità di pianobi: un luogo dedito sia a un fare arte, attraverso residenze, workshop e galleria espositiva, sia alla teoria dell’arte, attraverso incontri e dibattiti volti all’approfondimento e alla riflessione sull’arte.
Prima di dar vita a pianobi, a Roma ha curato mostre ed eventi e scritto testi in collaborazione con istituzioni sia italiane che straniere (Palazzo Poli – Istituto Centrale per la Grafica – MiBACT, Sala Santa Rita - Roma Capitale, Fotografia Festival Internazionale di Roma - Tadem Paris/Rome, Institut français Italie - Roma, Institut français Centre Saint Louis - Roma, Accademia di Francia a Roma - Villa Medici, Open House - Villa Sthrol-Fern, MACRO - Museo d’arte contemporanea di Roma. In Toscana, presso il Cassero Senese - Provincia di Grosseto e in Sicilia presso Villa Malfitano sede della Fondazione Whitaker nell’ambito di Palermo Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2018) e con diverse gallerie a Roma (l’Artothèque de Rome, Sala uno, La Nube di Oort, Richter Fine Arts) e in Toscana, (Art Lab gallery e la Galleria La Linea a Montalcino).
In occasione della XX edizione della Giornata del Contemporaneo promossa da AMACI ha coordinato un progetto di “ passeggiate artistiche ” volte alla scoperta degli studi d’artista dislocati nei quartieri del Quadraro, di Tor Pignattara e del Mandrione.
Ha collaborato con l’ambasciata di Francia a Roma e l’Ecole française de Rome e con l’ambasciata di Francia presso la Santa Sede come storica dell’arte responsabile delle visite guidate delle due sedi diplomatiche, rispettivamente Palazzo Farnese e Villa Bonaparte.
Isabella Vitale initially trained in Paris by attending the Académie des Beaux Arts and the Sorbonne. Back in Rome, she graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts with a thesis on pictorial stratification and subsequently enrolled in the Faculty of Art History at the Sapienza University of Rome where she obtained a specialist degree with a thesis on the places of contemporary artistic production in Rome.
His dual artistic training, first practical, then theoretical, exactly reflects the identity of pianobi: a place dedicated both to making art, through residences, workshops and exhibition galleries, and to art theory, through meetings and debates aimed at 'study and reflection on art.

On the occasion of the XX edition of the Contemporary Day promoted by AMACI, she coordinated a project of "artistic walks" aimed at discovering the artist studios located in the Quadraro, Tor Pignattara and Mandrione districts.
She collaborated with the French embassy in Rome and the Ecole française de Rome and with the French embassy to the Holy See as an art historian responsible for the guided tours of the two diplomatic offices, Palazzo Farnese and Villa Bonaparte respectively.
